Obituary of Rita B. Scarpa

Rita Barbara Scarpa, 98, most recently of 99 Brookside Drive, Clinton, NY, died on Tuesday, May 14, in the Siegenthaler Center in New Hartford after a brief illness. She spent most of her life in Connecticut but moved to Clinton in 2017.

Miss Scarpa was the youngest daughter of the late Joseph Scarpa and Mary Crocamo Scarpa of Derby, CT. She was born in Derby, CT, on January 24, 1926 and spent her early years in Derby before moving to Shelton and later to Hamden, CT. Rita held a number of executive secretarial positions throughout her work career before retiring from Warner Fabrics of Bridgeport, CT.

Rita was predeceased by both her parents and by all her siblings: Louis, Daniel, Florence, Gabrielle, Joseph, Salvatore, and William. She is survived by several nieces and nephews, including William Perrotti of Clinton, NY.

A graveside service will be held at a date yet to be determined, at Mount St. Peter’s Cemetery in Derby, CT, in a plot with her parents and sister Gabrielle.
