Obituary of Marguerite L. Burr

Marguerite L. Burr, 91, formerly of Westmoreland, passed away on December 28, 2023 in Rochester, NY.

She was born in East Braintree, MA on April 27, 1932, a daughter of the late Edward J. and Lillian Marguerite (Taylor) Averill. Marge graduated from Quincy High School. She was united in marriage to Roy C. Burr on March 9, 1957. The couple shared 58 years of love and devotion until Roy’s passing on March 31, 2015. Marge retired from Morrisville Agricultural and Tech College where she worked as assistant purchasing agent.

She is survived by her son Greg Burr of Atlanta, GA; her daughter and son-in-law, Laura Demarest and Sandy Kraemer of Rochester, NY; and many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sons, Roy Jr, Wesley, and Alan; her husband Roy; her parents; and her brother Edward Averill.
