Obituary of Joyce C. Lloyd

Joyce C. Lloyd, 86, passed away Saturday December 16, 2023, in the comfort of her own home.

She was born July 11, 1937, in Sangerfield, daughter of the late Seymour and Emma (Murphy) Nolan. She graduated from Madison Central School. In 1959, she was married to Donald G. Lloyd. They shared almost 60 years together before his passing in 2018. She worked for many years at General Electric and then went on to work for Aramark Food Services as the Office Manager at Hamilton College and eventually at Utica College from where she retired. She was a member of Deansboro Congregational United Church of Christ’s Women’s Fellowship and the Barton Hose Company Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by her four children and their spouses, Sharon & David Knutti, Judy & Joe Giannatelli, Dave & Deanna Lloyd and Diane & Dave Nowakowski; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and brother, Dale Nolan. She is predeceased by her parents, her husband, and her brother, Darrell Nolan.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11am Thursday, December 21, 2023, at the Deansboro Congregational United Church of Christ. She will be laid to rest in the Deansboro cemetery with her husband at a later time.
