Obituary of Aileen M. Spaven
Aileen M. Spaven of Westmoreland, passed away at home on December 5, 2023.
She was the daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth (Cotter) Stockbridge. Aileen was united in marriage to Winston D. Spaven on January 20, 1951 at Clinton United Methodist Church. The couple raised their family in Westmoreland and shared 53 years of love and devotion until his passing on May 4, 2004. Aileen was hard-working, artistic and extremely talented. She owned and operated Aileen’s Upholstery for many years. All of her children have quilts lovingly made by their mother. She always put her family first and cherished her time with them.
She will be missed by her children and their spouses, Pete and Beverly Burns of Holland Patent, Gary and Dianna Spaven of Westmoreland, Candace and Ronald Andrews of Oriskany, Wendy Spaven and Bill Brazie of Rome, Roxanne Miner of Rome, Joanne and Richard Ireland of Rome, Dan and Tina Spaven of Rome, Cindy and Jack Fogelman of Westmoreland, Robert Spaven of Whitesboro; her daughter-in-law Gloria Seifried; many cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and her nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Winston; her three sons, Richard, Larry and Sonny; granddaughter Tammi Livermore; great-granddaughter Kelsey Spaven; her two sons-in-law, Dale Green and Richard Miner and her daughter-in-law, Lynda Spaven.
All are invited to call Monday, December 11, 2023 from 4-6pm at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, 35 College St., Clinton, with her funeral service to follow at 6pm at the funeral home. She will be buried at Westmoreland Cemetery.
