Uncle Mark, I know we missed a lot of time over the years, but whenever we were able to spend time it was always very enjoyable for me. We were always aligned with a lot of different topics. You always made me feel welcome and that I could be myself 100%. You were the type of person that made it easy for even the most stubborn of us to open up no matter what was going on at the time. I am very proud to be your nephew and carry the Klausner name. You will always be deeply loved and missed. Your nephew, Danny Klausner

My deepest condolences to Mark’s family. He was like a father to me and welcomed me in his family like his own. He never said too much about our special bond but we just knew. He went way out of his comfort zone to visit me on the other side of the world and I will never forget all the beautiful memories we made together. My heart broke. He will be missed sincerely.

I've known Mark to be a good man and an outstanding fire officer. When we worked together in the Utica Fire Department I could always count on him to be level headed and do the right thing. Lieutenant Klausner's calm demeanor on every call was recognized and appreciated by the Fire Fighters who worked for him and instilled confidence in his company, he did the same for me as a Deputy Chief.
God Bless, God Speed my friend, men like you will always be missed.

I'm so very sorry to hear of this. He was a wonderful man, and friend to my father and family in the UFD days. Always funny, kind and a great husband and father. Many many great memories of the "guys" sharing stories and laughs. A true gentleman.

Eric and I will never forget our disciple classes and how Jim and Mark made Eric a count down of days left for him to run. I know the whole group accepted us to the church being we were one of the youngest families there. Mark always made us feel welcome with his warm smile and gentle way of handling things. You continued to bring me ease when i saw you at funeral home when i was calling. The gifts and kindness you brought to this world were endless. You will truly be missed.
