Obituary of Elsie A. Bellows
Elsie A. Bellows, 84, died November 14, 2023, at Lutheran Care.
She was born May 28, 1939, in Plattsburgh, a daughter of the late Charles and Rose (Giroux) Daniels. Elsie was united in marriage to Clayton F. Bellows on June 29, 1957. The couple shared nearly 40 years together until Clayton’s passing on June 21, 1996. Elsie had a good work ethic and instilled that her family. She retired from Par Technology after 25 years of service. She was a volunteer with Helping Hands at Lutheran Care and was a member of the Clark Mills American Legion Post #92 Auxiliary. Animals held a special place in her heart. She always looked forward to camping trips, playing bingo, the casino, playing cards at the legion, but most of all spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Deborah and Keith Rice of Oriskany Falls, Clayton “Butch” Bellows of Clinton, and Kenneth and Heather Bellows of Fort Mill, SC; her five grandchildren, Stephen and Rebecca Rice, Andrea Rice, Shawn Bellows and Elyse Enea-Bellows, Lexi Bellows, and Khloe Bellows; her six great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Rice, Kendra Winterton, Kara Rice, Kenleigh Winterton, Aiden Bellows, and Theo Bellows; a brother Floyd Daniels of Plattsburgh; a sister Faith Moffler of FL; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, and her brothers, Ernest, Armand, Clifford, Dennis, Russell, Jerry; sisters, Leona, Theresa, and Pauline.
There will be no public services. Special thanks to family friend, Susan Stressel, and Lutheran Care for their kindness and compassion. Please consider donations to Clark Mills American Legion Post #92 Auxiliary or the Helping Hands program at Lutheran Care.
