Obituary of John R. Sadowski

John R. Sadowski, 85, of Clinton, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2023, with his loving family by his side.

John was a son of the late John and Ida (Mlynarczyk) Sadowski. He attended Utica Schools and graduated from Proctor High School. He served 2 years in the US Army and went on to graduate from MVCC with his associate degree. John Married Florence Szpunar on September 15, 1962, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Utica. John worked for 15 years for Blue Cross Blue Shield in Utica until his retirement.

John enjoyed gardening and woodworking. He was a long-time member of the Lions Club and St. Mary’s Church in Clinton. He was a true family man, a loving husband, father, and grandfather. John and Florence recently celebrated 61 years of holy matrimony. For the last 13 years, as John's health failed, Florence has been his primary caretaker, and she would not have had it any other way. 

John will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Florence; daughter, Cindy; and his two precious grandchildren, Nolan, and Ashley who were the loves of his life.

All are invited to calling hours on Thursday, November 9^th, from 10 AM-12 PM at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, 35 College Street, Clinton. A Mass will follow at 12:30 PM at St. Mary’s Church, Clinton. John will be laid to rest after his mass in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
