Obituary of Theodore R. Johnson

Theodore R. Johnson 1933 – 2023

Clinton - Theodore R. Johnson, 89, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 5, 2023, surrounded by family.

He was born in Little Falls, NY, on October 14, 1933, the son of Theodore and Cecilia A. Johnson. He graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in 1951 and has a degree from the Institute of Applied Arts & Science and from Utica College. On May 14, 1955 he was united in marriage to Janet Kraft at St. Mary’s Church in Little Falls. He spent his career working at General Electric and was on the school board in Clinton for many years. He enjoyed playing golf and was an avid Yankee fan. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was given the name Didn. He loved saying “the most wonderful thing about Didns is I’m the only one.”

He is preceded in death by his loving wife and 3 siblings. He is survived by his 2 loving daughters Colleen (Jon) Ames and Jennifer (Bob) Beretta, 4 grandchildren Kristi (fiancé Patrick Higgins) Bonnell, Jon (Amanda) Ames, Shannon (Cory) Tilton and Julia Beretta, and 4 great grandchildren Brianna, Logan, Taylor and Trevor.

All are invited to call Wednesday, October 11, 2023, from 10am – Noon at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, 35 College St., Clinton.  A Memorial Service will follow at Noon.
