Obituary of Wesley E Coy

Wesley E. Coy, Sr., 79, of Rose Lane, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at Faxton-St. Luke's Hospital. He was born May 21, 1934, in Chillicothe, Ohio, a son of the late Thomas and Pearl Holdren Coy. He grew up in Ohio and after high school he served in the US Air Force for 12 years - serving in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. In January 1964, he was united in marriage to Hilda Masi at Church of the Annunciation in Clark Mills, NY. There the couple owned and operated Coy's Market on Main Street for over 25 years. Wes was a member of the Clark Mills American Legion Post #26 and volunteered at the Kirkland Town Library. He was a voracious reader and an avid bowler for many years. He is survived by his wife, Hilda; his daughter, Elizabeth and her husband Richard Ouimette of Clark Mills and his son Wesley Coy, Jr. of Clinton; his six beloved grandchildren, Victoria, Vincent and Vito Ouimette and Dominique, Celeste and Wesley Coy III; and his brother, Carl Coy of Chillicothe, OH. Funeral services will be held at Noon on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc., 35 College St., Clinton. All are invited to call Saturday from 10am until Noon prior to the service. Burial with military honors will be in Kirkland Cemetery.
