Karen was such a kind and caring woman. She always greeted everyone with a smile. I consider myself lucky to have had the opportunity to work with her and get to know her. She will be missed. Thoughts and prayers to her family.

Karen and I spent a lot of time in the summer together when we were kids. Karen would come to PA and stay with our grandma Foster who lived behind our house. We would go on walks and to the mall. Being that most of our cousins lived about a mile away in Brush Valley, PA, all we had to do was get on the party line and in no time had a ball game of some sort or a cook out. Karen was usually here when the Indiana County Fair was in town and every year she would go to Idlewild Park with us if she was allowed to stay for the Syntron Picnic where my dad, her Uncle Ernie worked. Karen had a fantastic personality and sense of humor and when I think of her I can't help but smile. One time when she was back, Jaws was the movie in the theater. She wanted to go so we did and sat in the front row. We screamed, laughed and thought we should have gone to see a comedy. Never cared much for the ocean after that.
To all of Karen's family, I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope that when you think of her you will remember her with a heart full of happy memories and she gives you a smile like the ones she has given me.
With love,
your cousin Nancy

I have been on the Lutheran Home Foundation Board for many years and found Karen to be a kind, caring and witty person. My heart aches on the loss of this fine person but know that heaven now has another angel. Peace to you Karen and family.

Q: How would you describe Karen to someone who had never met them?
A: Karen was a warm, friendly, welcoming and always had a smile. My heart is sadden with her sudden passing. She meant a lot to so many people and the community. My heart goes out to her family and friends. Karen will be sadly missed. I for one will miss her smile and welcoming personality. Every time I saw Karen I wanted to give her a hug. She would smile and accept it.
Affectionately,
Kathy White

Miss Karen was a really nice person, she made me feel so welcome when I became an employee here at CWP. She always had such a great energy to be around, and a smile for everyone. I am very fortunate to have met her.
