Obituary of Eileen L. Martin
Eileen L. Martin, 66 years old, of Clinton, NY passed away peacefully with her husband by her side on December 20, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Eileen was born on April 7,1956 in Little Falls, NY. and then moved to Clinton, NY in her early childhood where spent her life. Eileen attended Clinton Central School and graduated in 1973. She met her highschool sweetheart/ beloved husband John Martin Jr. during highschool, whom she married on July 12, 1975, celebrating 47 years of marriage. They built their life on their family farm in Clinton, NY raising their 3 children, Jennifer, Trischa and John III. Eileen always had the natural passion for working with children as she spent over 20 years working at the Hamilton College Early Childcare Center and then went on to be a custodian at Clinton Central School until she retired to become a stay at home wife and Nannie to her granddaughter Maddie.
Eileen was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and was a source of quiet strength, supporting them in all aspects of their lives.
She will be deeply missed by her husband, John Martin Jr. and her three children, Jennifer and Dale Brown of West Winfield, NY, Trischa Martin of Clinton, NY and John III and Danielle Martin of Clark Mills, NY, and her cherished grandchildren, Madalynn Martin and Derrick Jewell.
Eileen was predeceased by her parents Robert and Doris Palmer. She was a sibling of 9, and survived by Sharon and Mike Partridge, Cortland, NY, Donald and Joanne Palmer of Bradenton, Florida, Kathy Ehrhart of Kissimmee, Florida, Shirley Ketchum and Howie Ramsdale of Rome, NY, Bobbie and Terrie Palmer of Bridgewater, NY, Paul Palmer and Margaret of Norfolk, Virginia, Barbara (Alan- predeceased) Rattray of Lairdsville, NY, and Joyce and Steve Pesapane of Chesapeake Bay, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend visitation and a celebration of Eileen’s life on Wednesday, January 11th from 2:00pm - 5:00pm with service following at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, 35 College Street, Clinton NY.
In remembrance of Eileen’s life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to Roswell Park Cancer Center.
