Obituary of Ronald L. Bitteker

Ronald L. Bitteker, 83, passed away November 24, 2022 at Lutheran Care.

 

He was born in Utica on April 3, 1939, a son of the late Harold and Edna (Herter) Bitteker.  Ron served his country in the Army National Guard 105th Division.  He worked for Victory Markets, Grand Union, Pettibone, and St. Elizabeth Medical Center.  Ron enjoyed being the handyman at home, watching the birds, and was the family weatherman, making sure his family was prepared.  He married Jacqueline Madore in 1961.  Ron was a loving husband of 61 years, and devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

 

He leaves behind his wife Jackie; two daughters and sons-in-law, Shelley and James Lee, and Rebecca and Kyle Hoyt; grandchildren, Ryan and Lauren Lee, Shaun Hoyt, Aaron Hoyt, Kaylee Hoyt, and Bryce Lee; great-grandson Jameson Lee; brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Fran Bitteker; sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Tony Cantore; and several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his parents Edna and Harold Bitteker and brother James Bitteker.

 

Private services will be held for the family.  There will be no public calling hours. He will be buried at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
