Obituary of Jane H. Horner

Jane H. Horner, born in Clark Mills, NY on January 31, 1919, daughter of George and Margaret Overand Shepherd, passed away on March 25, 2013 at the age of 94. She was married to Carson Robert Horner in 1951, residing in Clark Mills for many years. She was a member of the Church of the Annunciation and its Altar Rosary Society, the Kirkland Senior Citizens, and the Clark Mills American Legion Post 26 Auxiliary. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Jean) Clemens of Buffalo, NY, and Mrs. Daryl (Diane) Piontek of Great Valley, NY; her grandchildren, Hannah and Matthew Piontek, and Sara Clemens; her brothers and sister, Leo Shepherd, John (Jack) Shepherd and Gertrude (Gert) Flint. Mrs. Horner is predeceased by a son, Joseph, in 1988, and siblings Margaret (Marie) Mitchell, Ralph Shepherd, Ignatius Shepherd, and Robert (Bob) Shepherd. Funeral services will be held at 10am on Tues., April 2, 2013, at the Church of the Annunciation, Clark Mills, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Friends and family are invited to call from 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Mon., April 1, 2013 at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc., 35 College St., Clinton.
