Obituary of Louis J. Cieri

Louis Joseph Cieri, Jr, 86, passed away March 31, 2022, with his loving wife by his side. He was born in Utica on November 2, 1935, a son of the late Louis and Grace (Randall) Cieri Sr. In 1955 Louis was united in marriage to Eileen Casey. They shared a loving union of 67 years. He retired from Utica Cutlery after many years of service as a carpenter. Louis was a true family man. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. As a master woodworker, he spent many hours in his workshop creating beautiful pieces for family and friends. Louis was also a NASCAR fan. He is survived by his wife, Eileen; three children, Christine Pett, Debra (Michael) Turner and Theresa Crawford; three special nieces and nephews, James (Cathy) Matrone, Donna (Kenneth) Patricia, and Michael (Annette) Matrone; his beloved grandchildren, Thomas Cole Williams, Jennifer Rice, Casey Williams, Jessica Pett, Kyle Crawford, and Emily Crawford; his cherished great-grandchildren, Prince, Kali, Ary, Nathan, Gavin, Zane, Sophia, Evelyn, Hayden and Harper; and his sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Jim Krupa. He was predeceased by his parents; sister Eileen Matrone; and brother, Ronald Cieri. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at St. Mary’s Church in Clinton. Burial will be in Deansboro Cemetery. There will be no public calling hours. Arrangements by Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Clinton. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Clinton Fire Department.
