Obituary of Barbara K. Schuck

Barbara K. Schuck, 90, passed away March 31, 2022, at Waterville Residential Center. She was born in Utica on January 13, 1932, a daughter of the late S. Newton and Ruby (Shaw) Kenyon, and graduated from New Hartford High School. Barb always had a passion for cooking and while her children were in school, Barb worked in the cafeteria at Clinton Central School and was the manager at the St. Luke’s and Faxton Hospitals’ coffee shop. She operated her own coffee shop in Clinton for many years and worked at local catering companies. She was also employed with the UFCW for many years. Barb enjoyed playing the organ, gardening, knitting, crafting and treasured her time with family at her camp on the Independence River. She is survived by her three daughters and sons-in-law, Lynda Schuck-Knoble and husband Lawrence Knoble of Baldwinsville, Ann and Roger Dixon of Vernon, and Nancy and Vincent Grey of Hammond; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Richard William Schuck; her former husband and best friend William F. Schuck; her parents; brother Roger Kenyon; and sister Janet Gilliland. She was also predeceased by her beloved canine and feline companions. A Celebration of Life will be held at Noon Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, 35 College St., Clinton, NY. All are invited to call Wednesday from 11am to Noon prior to the service. She will be buried at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Please consider donations in Barb’s memory to Clinton PetVet Rescue & Sanctuary.
