Obituary of Cecilia A. Angier

Cecilia A. Angier, 83, of Deansboro, passed away December 30, 2021, at Waterville Residential Care Center. She was born on August 30, 1938, in Utica, raised in Franklin Springs, a daughter of the late Earl and Catherine (Wesseldine) Clipston. She graduated from Clinton Central School. On June 7, 1958 she was united in marriage to Charles W. Angier until his passing in 2017. She worked at General Electric before starting her favorite job as a stay-at-home mom while also being secretary and financial advisor for her husband’s trucking business. Cecilia enjoyed gardening, traveling and completing puzzles. She was happiest taking care of her family and spending time with her grandchildren. Cecilia is survived by her two sons and a daughter-in-law, Charles and Kathleen Angier of Waterville, and Carl Angier of Clinton; three grandchildren, Stephanie Angier of Waterville, Michael Angier and Ashley Suarez of Florida, and Dale Angier and Mercedes Staelens of Deansboro; three great-grandchildren, Jacob, Jordynn and Logan Angier; and one great-grandson on the way, Ryder; her brother, Earl Clipston and Sheri McCann of Franklin Springs; two sisters, Jane Miller and Kay Green of Franklin Springs; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Charles, and sister Elizabeth Goodson. All are invited to call from 5-7pm on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, 35 College St., Clinton. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 10am Friday, January 7, 2022. She will be buried with her husband at Sunset Hill Cemetery. There will be a celebration of life following the funeral service at noon at the American Legion in Franklin Springs. Please wear a mask and respect current social distancing guidelines.
