Obituary of Emma B. Jones

Emma B. Jones, 87, of Oriskany Falls, passed away December 8, 2021 at the Waterville Residential Care Center. She was born on September 15, 1934, in Deposit, NY, a daughter of the late Grant and Leila (McHenry) Benedict. She graduated from Clinton Central School in 1953. Emma was united in marriage to Lawrence Jones until his passing in 2003. Emma was a member of the Deansboro Congregational United Church of Christ. She enjoyed sewing and quilting, bus trips with Oriska-Valley Seniors and looked forward to meeting her friends at McDonald’s for a milkshake and good conversation. She is survived by her son, Larry Jones; her daughter Mary Kay; her grandchildren, Justin, Tammy, Bryant, Alicia, Ashley, and Kelcey; step grandchildren, Justin and Ashley Cole; great-grandchildren, Brooke, Brienna, Carter, Trevor, Maelyn and Colton; three sisters, Helen Dietz, Tesse Stolo and Sandra Fox; many nieces and nephews; and all of her wonderful friends at Oliver-Burleigh Apartments. Predeceased by her husband; her son Dwayne “PeeWee” Jones; and her brothers and sisters. Private services will be held by the family with burial at Deansboro Cemetery.
