Heaven gained a sweet angel. Lois Shatzel Lenahan of Whitesboro, passed away peacefully on November 1st, 2021, at her home, with family by her side. Lois was born on January 22, 1925, in Edmeston, NY, the daughter of Milton and Bertha Shatzel. Her sister Carolyn Andrews predeceased her in death. She married H. Bruce Lenahan on October 5, 1946, in Clarks Mills, NY. They enjoyed a union of 41 years prior to his death on March 9, 1987. Bruce and Lois worked hard as part owners of J.H. Lenahan and Sons farm on Clarks Mills Road, Clarks Mills, NY. Lois was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved to spent time with her family. She enjoyed her trips to Florida and childcare of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. When she was younger, she was an active member of the Annunciation Church in Clark Mills and the Clark Mills Fire Department Auxiliary. She loved gardening, golf and bowling. Mrs. Lenahan is survived by three daughters, a son and their spouses, Patricia Lenahan of Whitesboro, Michael Lenahan of Cape Coral, Florida, Joan and Alexander Nagy of Lititz, PA and Kathy and Scott Warren of Bewerton, NY; six grandchildren, Chris Lenahan, Shawn Horner, Angie Koser, Brittany Warren, Amanda Hippensteel, and Ashley Warren; and 9 grand-grandchildren. Arrangements are with Owen-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service. There will be no visitation or church services. Family will gather at the graveside. Remembrances in Lois’s name may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care Inc., 4277 Middle Settlement Road, New Hartford, NY 13414
