Obituary of Kenneth J. Fairchild

Kenneth J. Fairchild, 81, of Hollywood Drive, Whitesboro died on September 13, 2021, in Syracuse. He grew up in Columbus, NY, with his parents Clinton and Doris Fairchild. He was a graduate of Mohawk Valley Community College, Utica, NY. On June 12, 1965, he married Marilyn O’Brien of Utica. He was a member of several volunteer community bands in Rome, Herkimer, Utica, and Lafayette, NY. He worked many years as an advertising salesman for various newspapers in Rome, Utica, and Syracuse. Thereafter he worked full-time for Centrex Clinical Laboratories, Utica NY, and part-time for Adonis-Avanti Limousine Service, Herkimer NY. He is survived by a sister India Graves, of Jonesborough, Tennessee and several cousins from Texas, Virginia, South Dakota, Minnesota, New York and Australia. Serving the family is Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Clinton, NY. Ken’s wish was to have no memorial service. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
