Francis D. "Whitey" White, 69, of Westmoreland, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2013 at home with his family by his side. He was born on July 31, 1943 in Oneida, a son of the late John and Dorothy Dixon White and was educated in Westmoreland. On October 25, 1974, he was married to Laurie Roth at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Clark Mills. Whitey worked at Western Electric-Lucent Technologies for many years. Whitey and Laurie enjoyed their times together, especially at their camp. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors. He is survived by his loving wife, Laurie; his two sons and daughter-in-law, John D. and Brandi of Alaska and Scott of Boston; and his extended camp family and the Campa Kids, who brought much laughter and love to his life - Cody, Riley, Livie, Gavin, Jadon, Elizabeth & Claire; many nieces and nephews; and his sister-in-law, Fawn Roth and her son Kyle; and his brother-in-law William Roth. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Muriel and brother, Alvin. All are invited to call Wednesday, January 16, 2013 from 11am-1pm and 5-8pm at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc, 35 College St., Clinton. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at 9:15am at the funeral home and 10am at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 21 White St, Clark Mills. Burial will be in Westmoreland Cemetery. We wish to thank everyone from Hospice, Dr. Alicia DeTraglia and the nurses for the compassionate care they gave to Whitey and his family, his special friend John Corrigan, Laurie J. McFall, sister-in-law Fawn and her son Kyle, brother-in-law "Spook" (William Roth) for their unconditional love, time and unwavering support.
