Obituary of Hanna K Suppe

Please share a memory of Hanna to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Hanna K. Suppe, 88, passed away in the the early morning hours of August 6, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Hospital after a brief illness. She was born on March 5th, 1933 at Faxton Hospital, daughter of the late Albert and Viktoria Waldman Knutti. Hanna was proud of her German and Swiss heritage and she lived up to the German trait of being stubborn. She was raised on the family farm in Deansboro NY along with her brother Ted, who predeceased her. She was a graduate of Waterville High School. For a time she worked for Dr. Herbert and Barbara Heintz caring for their children, a job she loved and always talked so fondly of them. Her wedding to Herbert Suppe was all set to take place on New Years Eve 1955 in Clinton NY. Two days before her wedding as she was driving on Dugway Road, her car was hit by a O&W RR train. Hanna was a tough cookie and getting hit by a train didn't stop the wedding. Her husband predeceased her in July of 1985. Hanna will be best remembered as a consummate caregiver and wonderful mother to her daughter Susie who was born with Down Syndrome. She devoted her life to making sure that Susie always had the best of everything. The two of them were inseparable and we're sure she's so happy to be reunited with Susie. She was a hard working stay at home mother, raising chickens with Herb, selling eggs on her egg route in New Hartford, growing a huge garden and selling strawberries and raspberries for several years. She was a wonderful cook, baker, seamstress and could knit the most beautiful sweaters. She will be missed by her daughter, Viktoria and her husband Edward Fisher; Edward's son, Timothy Fisher and his wife Lauren, their sons Elijah and Micah and her cat Annie. She leaves behind several nieces and nephews; and her cousins in Germany. Hanna's services will be private. She will be laid to rest in Sunset Hill Cemetery in Clinton along side her husband and daughter. Hanna was a great lover of animals. Donations may be made to the CPV Rescue and Sanctuary, 86 Meadow Street Suite 2 Clinton, NY 13323.
