Obituary of Lynda G. Spaven

Lynda G. Spaven, 55, passed away on August 1, 2021 at Upstate General Hospital in Syracuse, with her loving family by her side. She was born on April 15, 1966, a daughter of Norman and Marion (Kerr) Kohl. Lynda graduated from Sauquoit Valley Central School and was a bank manager at BNY Mellon in Oriskany. On August 3, 1996, she was united in marriage to Robert Spaven. Lynda enjoyed working in her garden. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed not only making meals for her family and friends, but also passing on her amazing cooking skills to her granddaughter. She will be missed by her husband, Robert Spaven; her daughter, Nicole (Brandon) Zinkovitch; son and daughter-in-law, John and Stacy Zinkovitch; her beloved grandchildren, Devon, Gabrielle, Michael and Thomas; three brothers Norman Kohl, Allen Kohl and Joseph and Anna Kohl; niece Nyssa Kohl; and her special friends from work, Michelle, Cassie and Yasmina. She was predeceased by her sister, Jacqueline Furia-Yule. Private services will be held for the family with arrangements by Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Clinton.
