Clinton – Mary H. Tettamant, 90, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2021, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born in Margaretville NY on February 13, 1931, daughter of Florence Canniff Haynes and Harley Haynes. Mary graduated from SUNY Oneonta. Mary was united in marriage to Robert L. Tettamant on August 25, 1953, a union of love and devotion for over 53 years until his passing on April 13, 2007. Mary was a 5th grade teacher at Clinton Central School, retiring after 34 years of service. Mary enjoyed lively political discussions and loved sports. She was a big fan of hockey, SU Basketball and the NY Giants. She was a member of the Clinton Retired Teachers’ Association and of the Methodist faith. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her four children and their spouses, Richard Tettamant and Debra Payne of TX, Craig Tettamant and Carolyn Williams of Utica, Sue and Grant Peters of TX, and Cindy and Vern Francisco of PA; six beloved grandchildren, Kathleen Tettamant and Gabriel Fleming, Greg and Monica Peters, Andrew Peters and Breanna Allred, Sarah and Ryan Marrone, Meagan and Amanda Francisco, Michelle and Felipe Soto; cherished great-grandchildren, Anthony, Betsy, Hailey, Jordan, Everly, Ella, Nathan, Lexi, Haley, Felipe Jr, Avery, Maddox, Penny and Max; her brother Theodore Bundy and Beatriz Mora of FL, Melissa Platt of Yorkville and Erica Robbins of CA and sister-in-law, Patricia Bodson of FL. Mary was predeceased by her husband; grandson Rob Tettamant; sister and brother-in-law, Viola and Leo Reed; brother Jack Haynes; and her beloved dog Cocoa. All are invited to Memorial Calling Hours on Thursday, June 24, 2021 from 5-7pm at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, 35 College St., Clinton. Memorial services will be at 7pm following visitation. Mary will be buried at Sunset Hill Cemetery at 11am on Friday. Please consider donations to the Clinton Central School Foundation.
