Obituary of Joan M. Lawlor

Joan Marie (Grower) Lawlor, 74, of Clinton Street, passed away at home on Tuesday, January 1, 2013. She was born in Newport, NY on February 3, 1938, daughter of the late Millard and Helen (Stave) Grower. She married John G. (Jerry) Lawlor, Sr. on March 13, 1960. She was predeceased by her husband, who died on November 18, 1989 at the VA Hospital in Syracuse and an infant son, James on December 22, 1965. Surviving are seven sons: John and Lorri of Holland Patent; Robert and Jacqueline of Myrtle Beach, SC; Jeffery and Kathleen of Georgetown, SC; Mark and Wendy of Clinton; Frederick David of NC; Joseph and Vicky David of Utica; Ronald David of Fort Worth, TX; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also surviving are four brothers and five sisters: Millard and Gert Grower of Ohio, NY; Raymond and Alice Grower of Ohio, NY; Gary and Jean Grower of Cold Brook, NY; Chuck and Lola Grower of Utah; Janice and Jim (deceased) Nicholas of Ohio, NY; Patricia and Bill (deceased) Wares of Newport, NY; Shirley and Mike Skelton of Newport, NY; Dorothy Gillette & Donald Seward of Floyd, NY; Joyce and Jack Steele of Ilion, NY. A memorial service will be held at 11:30am on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service Inc., 35 College St., Clinton. All are invited to call Saturday from 9:30am - 11:30am prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to C.O.C.V.A.C, Box 399, Clark Mills, NY 13321 or to the Clark Mills Fire Dept., PO Box 0, Main St., Clark Mills, NY 13321.
