Obituary of Donna M. Stockbridge

Donna Mae Loomis Stockbridge, 88, died May 28, 2021, at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare, with her family by her side. She was born January 20, 1933, in Hamilton, NY, the daughter of the late James Elmer and Helan E. Morton Loomis. Donna graduated from Morrisville College and received her LPN in 1952. She worked in the Utica area and at Martin Luther Nursing Home, retiring in 1998. On November 21, 1953, she married William Stockbridge. They shared 53 years together until his passing in 2006. Donna enjoyed baking, travel, time spent with her family and especially her times quilting. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Frank and Susan Stockbridge of Tacoma, WA, Christine and John Kennedy of Mohawk, William Stockbridge of Frankfort, Paul and Michelle Stockbridge of Westmoreland, and Phill and Stacy Stockbridge of Waterville; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and her brother, Donald Loomis of FL. She was predeceased by her son Joseph in 2008, her husband William in 2006, her brothers, James and Charles Loomis. Private services will be held for the family with burial at Kirkland Cemetery.
