James Fogelman, 83, formerly of Stone Road, died Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at Faxton-St. Luke's Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 27, 1926 in Hamilton, a son of the late Edward Shelton and Ellen Ramsdale. James was educated in the Hamilton area and raised by his special aunt, Emma Butterbaugh. He served in the US Navy during WWII. On January 19, 1948 he married Marion Benson. They enjoyed a loving marriage of 57 years until her death October 18, 2005. James retired from Westmoreland Malleable Iron Works after serving in different capacities over the years. He took great pride in his garden and enjoyed reaping his harvest. Above all it was the time spent with his family that meant the most. He is survived by his nine children and their spouses, Sandy Joyner and Thomas Cheney of Oriskany, James Fogelman of MD, Judy Capron of Camden, Esther and Jeffrey Debus of Ballston Lake, Patti and Kevin Moshier of Glenfield, Jack and Cindy (his little Dolly) Fogelman of Westmoreland, Debby and Roger Perry of Rome, Rick and Wendy Fogelman of Whitesboro and Dennis and Theresa Fogelman of Missouri; 38 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Dorothy, Shirley & Betty; several nieces and nephews, including Bill Ramsdale and Glenda Yager, both of Boonville and his special aunt Emma Butterbaugh. He was also predeceased by two daughters, Susan and Beverly and two grandsons, Steven and Ralph Charles. Graveside services with military honors will be held at 11am Friday, November 13, 2009 at Westmoreland Cemetery. Friends are invited to call Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc, 35 College St., Clinton. The family thanks the nurses and staff of the 6th floor at Heritage Healthcare for the wonderful care given to their father - especially Kathy McDonald. "To all of you who loved me - I do you, too."
