Obituary of Alice M.N.L. Kurdziolek

Alice M.N.L. Kurdziolek, 77, of Chadwicks, passed away Monday, December 3, 2012 at Faxton-St. Luke's Hospital. She was born November 25, 1935, in Clark Mills to Rev. Urban and Gertrude (Truxell) Newman. She graduated from Westmoreland Central School in 1953 and received her Bachelor's Degree from SUNY IT. She retired from Mohawk Valley Psychiatric Center. On May 21, 1983, she was married to Edward J. Kurdziolek. Alice was a member of the Northern Star Rebecca Lodge for over 25 years and was District Deputy President of Oneida County. She was a Girl Scout Leader and played piano at church and could play many other instruments. She is survived by her husband, Ed of Chadwicks; her daughter, Sharlene LaConte of Clayville; her stepchildren, Edward and Sue Kurdziolek of Holland Patent and Linda Kurdziolek of FL; her grandchildren, Marie and Zach Moore of Fayetteville, NC and Joseph and Michael Kurdziolek of Holland Patent; her sister and brother-in-law, Harriett and James Schorer of Batavia; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her brother, Howard Newman and sister, Louise Stafford. Funeral services will be held at 9:30am Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc., 35 College St., Clinton. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Westmoreland. All are invited to call from 4-7pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Please consider donations to Rescue Mission of Utica, 212 Rutger St., Utica, NY 13501.
