Peter Techmanski, 95, of Whitesboro, passed away January 23, 2021. He was born in Utica on March 29, 1925 to the late Marek and Aniela (Glod) Techmanski. Peter was united in marriage to Betty (Lincourt) in February 16,1952 at St. Mary’s Church, Rome, NY and were together until her passing January 5, 2016. Peter was in the US Navy and served his country during WWII. After his four years in the service Peter went to work for Special Metals for 30 years before retiring. Peter was a family man and always put his family first. He enjoyed the outdoors especially his time in the woods hunting and fishing. He spent as much time as he could with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Peter is survived by his sons, Mark and Sally Techmanski, Greg and Barbara Phillips Techmanski; grandchildren Mark and Yvonne Techmanski, Andy and Amanda Techmanski; great-grandchildren Justin, Riley, Logan and Skylar; brothers and sisters, John & Jenny Techmanski, Edward & Dianne Techmanski, Loretta Techmanski-Sunderhaft; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers and six sisters. A Mass of Christian burial will be held for Peter at Church of the Annunciation at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, January 27, 2021. He will be laid to rest in Mt. Olivet cemetery next to his wife at a later date. Arrangements by Owens-Pavlot and Rogers Funeral Service, Clinton. In lieu of flowers contribution in Peter’s name can be made to COVAC, 7489 E South St, Clinton, NY 13323or Rome Humane Society, 6247 Lamphear Rd, Rome, NY 13440.
