Wanda was united in marriage to Roger W. Piersall. They raised their family in Clark Mills and shared many happy years together until his passing in 2019. Wanda was a stenographer at Utica State Hospital and retired from the Mohawk Psychiatric Center as a supervisor. Wanda was a strong, determined, quick witted woman, who always put her family first. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Steven and Sharon Piersall; grandchildren, Ashley and Dillon Simons, Stephanie Crandall, and Steven Piersall; great grandchildren Jax Braven and Hunter Phoenix Simons, Landon and Lilliana Crandall; her dear lifelong friend Maureen Keller; many caring neighbors and friends, nieces and nephews who always had a special place in her heart and a large extended family. Wanda was predeceased by her son Michael Piersall, husband Roger and sister Lorraine Montasano. The family would like to extend a thank you to all of the medical personnel, including nurses, doctors, dieticians, EMT’s and private caregivers who provided her with the utmost respect, kindness, and with the deepest compassion. In keeping with Wanda’s wishes, services will be private. Please leave condolences at OwensPavlotRogers.com. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in Wanda’s memory to St. Jude’s or COCVAC Ambulance Services.
