Obituary of Nancy V. Abraham

Nancy V. Abraham, 87, of Clinton, passed away on January 10, 2021 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was born in Utica on October 7, 1933, daughter of the late Frank and Julia (Kula) Zurawski. Nancy was predeceased by her brother Leo and his wife Rosemary and her grandson Adam Wankel.
Nancy raised her family in Clark Mills and was a member of Church of the Annunciation and the Altar/Rosary Society She was an avid gardener and for many years provided flowers from her garden for the church’s altars.
Nancy is survived by her four children, Pauline Dickstein and husband Barry; Sharon Wankel and husband David; Simon Abraham and wife Kathy; and Joann Thaler and husband Chris. Nancy is also survived by her six grandchildren, Amanda Thaler, Jessica Thaler, Eric Thaler and wife Anna; Justin Thaler and wife Jody; Julia Wankel and John Wankel. She also leaves three great-grandchildren, Ashton Stoddard, Grayson Salerno and Avery Hitt as well as her sister Sophie Acee and husband Moses.
Nancy’s family would like to thank the selfless nurses and doctors at St. Luke's Hospital and staff at Brookdale Senior Living for their compassionate care. Special thanks to her grand-daughter Amanda for her loving care and support.
Nancy dedicated her life to her family and to her church. She will be greatly missed by those who were blessed to know and love her. Funeral services are private. Arrangements by Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Clinton.
