Obituary of Vera M Owen

Vera M. Owen, 96, of Clinton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 14, 2012 at the Martin Luther Nursing Home. She was born on February 15, 1916 in Deansboro, a daughter of Herbert and Leah Lines Russell. She was united in marriage to Howard G. Owen on April 11, 1935 in Red Hook, NY, a blessed union and true partnership of 60 year, until Howard's death on April 13, 1995. The couple worked together at their flower shop, Owen's Florist in Clinton. Vera was of the Methodist faith. She is survived by her three daughters and sons-in-law, Judi and Don Badger of Canandaigua, Barb and Ed Kaido of Clinton and Diane and Bill Durand of Rochester; six grandchildren and their spouses, Candi and Dennis Slocum, Ed and Tracy Kaido, Colleen and Ed Reynolds, Trista and Mike Marisa, Terri and David Sevor and Tadd and Karen Adams; twelve great-grandchildren, Jesse, Caleb, Devon, Sydney, Logan, Xander, Jarod, Derek, Taylor, Ellie, Thomas and Heather; her brother, Kenneth Russell of Blossvale; sister-in-law, Betty Russell of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her grandson, Tim Adams, brother, Willard Russell and sister, Vivian Irwin. Private services will be held for the family with burial in Crown Hill Memorial Park. Arrangements by Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc, Clinton. The family thanks the staff of the Mapleview unit at Martin Luther Nursing Home for their care and compassion.
