Obituary of Michelle E Thieme

Michelle E. "Micki" Thieme, 63, of Reservoir Rd, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Wednesday, October 17, 2012. She was born on August 15, 1949 in Troy, NY to the late Edward and Elizabeth Powell Loftus. Micki graduated from Colonie High School and received her Associates Degree from Cobleskill. She was united in marriage to Kerry C. Thieme in 1970, the couple shared friendship, love and true devotion. Micki was the Director of the Hamilton College Child Care Center for many years where she enjoyed teaching and spending time with the children. She enjoyed quilting with her friends, tending to her plants and flowers, vacationing and taking car rides. Most of all, Micki enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband, Kerry; her daughter, Kara Thieme of Clinton; her son and daughter-in-law, Derek and Elizabeth Thieme of Rowley, MA; her grandson, Rylen; her sister Pat Loftus and her companion Jack Newbauer of Spencerport; and her brother, Edward Loftus of Texas. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10am Friday, October 19, 2012 at St. Mary's Church, Clinton. There will be no public calling hours.
