Obituary of Thomas L. Pavlot

Thomas L. Pavlot, 65, of Kirkland Ave, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, October 5, 2012, after a wonderful day of fishing.
He was born on March 28, 1947, to Thomas P. and Louise Overrocker Pavlot. He was a graduate of West Winfield Central School and Simmons Institute of Funeral Service. He was married to Diane Protzman until her death in 1984. On August 23, 1985 he was united in marriage to Jill Lauber. They shared 27 years of love and friendship, and enjoyed every moment together. Tom was the President of Owens-Pavlot Funeral Service, Inc. and retired in 2008 after over 40 years in the funeral service.
He was a past officer of Clinton Fire Department where he was an active member since 1977. Tom was also Vice-President of Clinton Cemetery Association, a member of Tri-County Funeral Directors Association and Stone Presbyterian Church and its choir. He was an avid fisherman, who greatly enjoyed the outdoors, especially at Lake Bonaparte and spending time with his family and friends. Tom lived life to the fullest and was the consummate gentleman. The twinkle in his eye and his radiant smile was infectious.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jill; five children, Tom and Stephanie Pavlot, Jr. of Deerfield, Deli and Bob Rogers of Clinton, Krystal L. Pavlot of Utica, Joseph T. Pavlot of Virginia, and Paige Ellen Pavlot of Clinton; four grandchildren, Taylor Royce-Pavlot and Morgan Royce-Pavlot both of Corning, Olivia Elaine Rogers of Clinton, and Connor-Jon Pavlot of Deerfield; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Lee and Doris Pavlot of Waterville, and Edward and Joan Pavlot of Bridgewater; his mother-in-law, Rosalie Lauber; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Joleen and Urs Walthert, Jeff Lauber, Jay and Renee Lauber; his nieces, nephews, many cousins and dear friends.
All are invited to call from 4-8pm on Monday, October 8, 2012 at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc., 35 College Street, Clinton, NY. Funeral Services will be held at 10am Tuesday at Stone Presbyterian Church in Clinton with burial to follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery.
