Obituary of Louise Y Roach

Louise Y. Roach, 73, a longtime resident of Clark Mills, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Wednesday, October 3, 2012. She was born in Utica on September 26, 1939, a daughter of the late Claude and Olmeda Richard LaManque. Louise grew up in Utica and graduated from UFA in 1957. On June 27, 1959, she was united in marriage to Richard C. Roach at St. Patrick's Church in Utica. Dick passed away August 21, 1988. Louise was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who loved spending time with her family and friends most of all. She had a passion for genealogy and spent much of her time tracing her family's heritage. She was a member of Clark Mills American Legion Post #26 Auxiliary where she was a Past President and also held positions with the Oneida County Legion on the finance committee. She attended Church of the Annunciation and was a member of the Kirkland Senior Citizens. She is survived by her four children and their spouses, Robin Whiting of Augusta, GA, Mark Roach and Donna Witte of Clark Mills, Beth Roach and James Breen of Rome and Aimee and Frank W. Jacobs of Utica; 13 grandchildren, Ashley and James, Shelagh, Austin, Matthew and Sara, Sarah, Amanda, Gary and Kortney, Justin, Keith, Rhiana, Kristin, Hannah and Mason; 11 great-grandchildren, Logan, Juliana, Cameron, Kailib, Kelcy, Chase, Koa, Liam, Emily, Sa'renity and Kaidyn; two sisters, Janice DiNigro of West Winfield and Lynette and Ernest Galle of Utica; sister-in-law, Geri LaManque of CT; her in-laws, Patricia and Douglas Sebastian, Lawrence Roach, Robert and Susan Roach, William and Judith Roach, James Roach and Joseph Roach; Aunt Elsie LaManque of Rome; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by her brother, Claude "Butch" LaManque Jr., brother-in-law, Joseph DiNigro and sisters-in-law, Judith and Marguerite Roach. Friends and family are invited to call Friday, October 5, 2012 from 4-7pm at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc, 35 College St., Clinton. Clark Mills American Legion Post #26 Auxiliary will conduct services at 6:30pm on Friday at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Church of the Annunciation, Clark Mills. Burial will be in Kirkland Cemetery.
