Obituary of Gary Stockbridge
Gary Stockbridge, 69, passed away February 6, 2020 with his loving family by his side.
He was born in Utica, New York, on April 22, 1950, to the late Aime “Bud” and Eleanor (Dwyer) Stockbridge. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1968 and went on to get his BA in history from LeMoyne College in 1973. Gary was a Civil War buff and a collector of many prints and articles from that era.
Gary’s first career was teaching history at Onondaga High School. After teaching for many years Gary went into the insurance business as a property adjuster, he worked in Connecticut for The Hanover Group and then came back to Clinton, New York to work for GAB Robbins, he retired in 2002. As a property adjuster he helped people through the aftermath of many tragedies such as 911 and Hurricane Katrina.
On October 22, 1996 He married the love of his life Jackie Tulloch near “The Pond” at Colgate College where he took her to feed the ducks on their very first date. Gary was a devoted stepfather and grandfather loving each and every one of his children and grandchildren in his own special way. There was nothing that he wouldn’t do for any of them.
Gary leaves behind his beloved wife, Jacqueline; stepdaughters, Amy and Bruce Weismore of Rome, Melissa Masner of Clinton; grandchildren, Michael Masner (Amanda), Derrick Leunberger, Brittany Leunberger (Ed), Shane Leunberger (Ashley), Coby Masner (Jessica), Casey Griffin, Braelyn Masner (Adrian), Brenna Masner; 12 great grandchildren whom he loved dearly; Sister and Brother in-laws, Eileen Clarey, Patricia and Larry Johnson, Sherry and Mike Mead, Tom and Elaine Tulloch; special family friends, Pat Garramone and her family; and many nieces and nephews who will always remember their Uncle Gary as the fun guy at all of the family parties. Gary was predeceased by his brother Richard; and in-laws, Jeanie and Jack Riggles, Bonnie Vanderlan Ehre, Carol and Butch Horton, Tom (Topcat) Clarey.

All funeral services for Gary will private to the family. Graveside services will be held in the Spring at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
