Michael Swift, 54, of Railroad Street, passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at his home. He was born March 22, 1958 in Utica, a son of Patrick and Marie Burdick Swift. Mike graduated from Clinton Central School and served in the U.S army. He was married to Michele Blask on October 22, 1999. He worked at Little Falls Hospital as Executive Chef Manager for 18 years. Mike enjoyed being an Umpire for little league, high school, America Legion and college level baseball games. He was an avid Yankees and Giants fan. Mike loved to spend time with and cook for his family most of all, especially BBQ and his chicken riggies. He also liked going to the races at Vernon Downs and was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Clark Mills Post #26. He is survived by his wife Michele; his three children, Michael P. Swift Jr of FL, Gordon " Corky" Douglas and Kaitlin Douglas both of Little Falls; his brother Kevin of Clark Mills; nieces, nephews and their families, Tanya, Tommy, Jolene, Kevin, Andy and Scott; his special friend Shane Smith; all of his other wonderful friends; and his feline friend Pels. He was predeceased by his parents and his brothers, Rodney, Patrick Jr. and Gary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at Church of the Annunciation, Clark Mills. Burial will be in Kirkland Cemetery. All are invited to call Friday from 4-7pm at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc, 35 College St., Clinton. Please consider donations to Clark Mills Fire Dept in Mike's memory.
