Josephine M. Murray, 73, of Clark Mills was gently cradled in the arms of the Lord and taken home on Saturday, March 31, 2012. Josephine was born on October 30, 1938 in Utica, the eldest child of Anthony and Mary (Altieri) Semeraro. She was a member of The Church of the Annunciation in Clark Mills. She was united in marriage to John J. "Bud" Murray on June 28, 1974. They shared a loving relationship of nearly 38 years. Josephine's main priority in her life was to praise God and to love and cherish her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her sister and her sister's family. She took much pride in her large and loving family. She was a graduate of Thomas R. Proctor High School and also took classes at various colleges. Through her lifetime she worked a variety of jobs including an attorney's office, the Oneida County Department of Social Services, BOCES Substitute Teacher Service and the Lutheran Homes of Central NY. Josephine was a member and past president of The Clinton Garden Club and Schooltown Questers. She also regularly attended Christian Professional Women's Luncheons, Red Hat Society, The Brandagee Girls group and was part of the prayer chain at The Annunciation Church. She loved all the organizations she belonged to and enjoyed her associations with all of the members. In addition to her loving husband, Bud, she leaves three daughters and their spouses, LaurieAnn and Ron Russell, Clinton, Jill and Skip Ulinski, VT, Mary and Kevin Krawiec, NC, three sons and their spouses, Michael and Judy Murray, NJ, Anthony and Deborah Mould, New York Mills, John Mould and Aurore DiGiorgio, Clinton, and a daughter-in-law, Roxanne Mould, Clark Mills. She also leaves 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Josephine also leaves her sister and best friend, Rosemary Schavone and her husband Michael and family, Utica. Her in-laws, James and Patricia Murray, Jamesville, Joan and John Preston, Rome, Molly and Michael Evola, Frankfort, Susan Waller, Rome, and Kathleen Murray, Rome. Josephine was predeceased by a son, Peter A. Mould, and a great-grandson, Donovan Weston, her parents, Anthony and Mary Semeraro and her in-laws, John and Mildred Murray. There will be no calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial mass on Wednesday, April 4 at 10 a.m. at The Church of the Annunciation, 7616 E. South Street, Clinton, (Clark Mills) NY. Josephine's family will accept expressions of sympathy immediately following mass in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Josephine's memory to the Church of Annunciation at the aforementioned address.
