Obituary of Edward R Satterlee Sr.

Edward R. Satterlee Sr., 76, of Westmoreland, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at the Masonic Care Community. He was born June 26, 1935 in Utica, to Norman and Marion French Satterlee Sr. Ed attended New York Mills School and served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War. On May 17, 1958, he was married to Elizabeth Davison, a blessed union of 53 years. He retired from Griffiss Air Force Base and was a member of the Clark Mills American Legion Post #26. He is survived by his wife, Betty; his three daughters, Beth Ann and Paul Norton and Donna and Brian Brown all of FL and Lori Satterlee and her fiance Stephen Fall of Westmoreland; two granddaughters, Jessica Satterlee and Kristin Frawley; four great-grandchildren, Hayley, Ryan, Brooke and Aubree; nine sisters and brothers, Jean, Mary, Norman, Donald, John, William, Jim, David and Jerry. He was predeceased by two sons, Ralph and E. Robert Jr "Bonzy", his parents and three sisters, Norma, Carol and Nancy. Funeral services will be held at 7pm on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc, 35 College St., Clinton. All are invited to call Tuesday from 4-7pm prior to the service. Burial with military honors will be held at 11am Wednesday at Westmoreland Cemetery. Please consider donations to Alzheimer's Association of CNY, 441 W. Kirkpatrick St., Syracuse, NY 13204. The family thanks the staff of the Masonic Care Community for the wonderful care given to Ed during his stay.
