Obituary of Shirley Warriner

Shirley D. Warriner, 84, a longtime resident of Deansboro, passed away Friday, February 24, 2012 at Harding Nursing Home. She was born September 29, 1928, daughter of the late Royce and Marian Day. Shirley grew up in Oriskany Falls and graduated from the local schools. She was married to Allyn D. Warriner in January 1952, a blessed union until his death December 2, 2006. Shirley was active in her community in her younger years as a member of the Barton Hose Co Auxiliary and past Secretary/Treasurer of the Deansboro Fire District. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Oriskany Falls and attended Deansboro Congregational United Church of Christ. In their later years, Shirley and Allyn enjoyed traveling on their motorcycle. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Linda Warriner of Oriskany Falls; her daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Ron Rois; two grandsons, Joshua and Ryan Riches; two great-granddaughters, Christine and Kayla; her brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Joan Day of MN; and three nieces, Brenda, Karen and Amy. Funeral services will be held at 10am on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc, 35 College St., Clinton. Friends are invited to call Tuesday from 4-7pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Deansboro Cemetery. Please consider donations to Barton Hose Co., Deansboro Fire Dept., PO Box 83, Deansboro, NY 13328. The family thanks the staff of the Harding Nursing Home for the care and kindness shown to Shirley.
