Rest easy Shirley. You will be missed by many You didn’t graduate with the Class of ‘51 but attended many of our reunions and were always welcome. I remember the beautiful hats you wore to church. My mother had a little competition going with you for the prettiest. I think it was a draw. My prayers are with your family. They have lost so much

I will always remember Shirley as a kind, caring beautiful lady. I grew up in Clark Mills and would spend many days at her house. I loved going to the Clinton American Legion in the summer and seeing her with her friends and sitting with her and chatting for a while, she would always ask about my granddaughter that plays ice hockey, and my brother Fred . She will truly be missed by all . RIP my good friend

I remember the Nester family having grown up just down the street from Shirley ‘s parents, Dan and Peg who were friends with my parents. Mary Jane or Mrs.. Melie as I knew her, was always nice to me when I was starting school. Jack would always say hello to me and ask about my folks. My mother in law, Mary Myers used to play golf with Shirley, and my father in law, who is still living, will be saddened by the news of Shirley’s death. I let my 97 year old father know today and he said your entire family will be in his thoughts and prayers. The same can be said for myself and my wife. We regret that we can not attend Shirley’s service because of a wedding for our niece in Mexico but your beautiful moms memory will always live with us. Wayne and Pamela Ford. And

I grew up down the street from this amazing lady.I was always in awe of her beauty, inside and out.Shirley and my dad were the care givers of the street, always looking out for everyone. They took turns checking in on the two English sisters who lived next door and always came home with the funniest stories.Donna and my brother Donald, who were always together, decided to have this silly eticate class for all of us crazy kids,Shirley helped them with this, supporting them fully as she always did,no matter how crazy of an idea, such as teaching etticate to all of us crazy monkeys!!!!That is who she was,a women who loved and embraced everyone.I feel truly blessed to have had her in my life.

Debbie, Dave, and Donna, I am so very sorry for your loss. Your Mom was such a special lady! I was fortunate to see her last summer at the funeral home, and we recognized each other instantly. We had a brief, but nice chat— of course, about you three. It has been a long time, Debbie and Dave, since you were in 6th grade, but I was fortunate to keep in touch with your parents over the years. My thoughts are with you all at this time of sadness. Your mom will be greatly missed. Hugs to each of you.

No words can adequately describe this amazing woman. Beautiful, poised, kind and gentle immediately come to mind but she was so much more. Her steadfast faith made her strong, especially after the loss of her beloved Bill and was probably the only thing that got her through the death of her grandson, Will. She lived her faith, consistently modeling Christian love, generosity and forgiveness. From the time I was a little Girl Scout Brownie in her troop, I adored and respected this woman and she will always be in my heart. I pray that her family's cherished memories will sustain them.
