Obituary of Frederick B Donovan

Frederick "Pat" B. Donovan, 78, of Dugway Road, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2012 at the Presbyterian Home. He was born in Forestport, to Frederick and Amy Donovan on October 5, 1933. Pat worked at General Electric from 1954 to 1988. He did many electrical jobs in the area and worked on the side for Bitteker Electric for many years. His last and favorite employment was with Trenton Technologies on Broad Street in Utica, retiring in 2007. Pat had a wonderful sense of humor and was a very caring man who loved to spend time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Mary; three sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Mary of East Greenbush, Jim and Stella of Bay City, MI and Bill and Tracey of Alexandria, VA; two granddaughters, Jennifer Donovan and Lauren and Ron DiScipio; a great-granddaughter, Eva Marie; and Mary's children, Charles and Amanda Rogers. Pat will be joining his two sons, Patrick and John who died before him. All are invited to call Sunday, February 19, 2012 from 1-3pm at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc, 35 College St., Clinton. A private service will be held for the family. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Presbyterian Homes Foundation, Inc., 4290 Middle Settlement Rd, New Hartford, NY 13412. The family would like to thank Independence Care, Visiting Nurse Association and especially the Cedar Unit at the Presbyterian Home for the wonderful care he received.
