Obituary of Thomas Leo Murphy

Thomas L. Murphy Clinton, NY Thomas L. Murphy, 77, of Clinton passed away at his home on February 14, 2012 after a courageous, but brief, battle with cancer. He was born December 20, 1934, in Liberty NY, the son of the late Rosemary McMullen and Thomas L. Murphy. Thomas graduated from Stamford Central School in 1953. Tom served as an elder at the Schuyler Lake and Paris Hill congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses for many years. He loved his family, friends and faith. He is survived by his wife, Margarethe Murphy; three children and their spouses, Mary Ann and Timothy Pashley, Erin Murphy, and Thomas W. and Donna Murphy; a grandson, Thomas E. Murphy; three brothers and sister-in-law, Dennis and Gloria Murphy, CO, John Murphy, SC, and Jerry Murphy, NC, and many beloved nieces, nephews and close friends. He is predeceased by his sister, Margaret Hillis and his brother, Richard Murphy. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 3 PM at the Paris Hill Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2610 State Route 12, Waterville. Relatives and friends may call on Saturday from 1PM until the time of the service. The family wishes to thank Dr. Bisham Garg and the staff at Hospice & Palliative Care Inc., New Hartford particularly Julie Milograno, RN and Irene Kurtelawcz, LPN.
