Obituary of Elizabeth H Barnett

Elizabeth Hinckley Redmond Barnett, 85, a longtime resident of Westmoreland, passed away Monday, January 30, 2012 at the Masonic Care Community, Utica.
She was born on November 14, 1926 in Syracuse, to the late Earl J. and Lucy M. Fancett Hinckley. Betty graduated from Whitesboro Central School, Comptometer School of Utica, and Utica School of Beauty Culture. Betty operated My Tiny Beauty Shoppe in Westmoreland for many years and also worked at General Electric. On October 13, 1945 she was united in marriage to Charles T. Redmond. Together they lived in Westmoreland and raised their family. Charles died March 19, 1981. Betty was then married to Dale Kissel on February 14, 1983 and moved to Ocala, FL. She resided there for many years. After Dale's death, she was married to Robert Barnett in Ocala on December 16, 1995. They eventually relocated to Franklin, NC. He died on October 26, 2005, and Betty returned to the Central New York area shortly thereafter.
She is survived by her four children and their spouses, Thomas and Becky Redmond of Clover, SC, Linda R. Evans, Whitesboro, Michael and Judy Redmond, Umatilla, FL., and Mary-Anne and Michael Gaffney, Sauquoit; one granddaughter and five grandsons, Jana Redmond and Gage, Richard and Sue Evans, Tom and Katie Evans, David Preising, Russ and Shelley Nichols, and John and Stefanie Gaffney; nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Winifred Bell.
Friends and relatives are invited to call Friday, February 3, 2012 from 3-6PM at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc., 35 College St., Clinton, followed by a prayer service that evening. A private burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Clinton.
