My father Stanley was an Encon Officer with Bob and they became very good friends. We had a small farm and during the summer Bob would come on his days off to help us make hay. This was something he really enjoyed, and all help is welcomed during haying season. He also showed his generosity when my wife and I were building our house. My truck had just died, and money was tight because we were young and in the middle of building our home. Bob delivered his pickup truck to our home site, gave me the keys and said use it as long as you need it, and we did. I'll never forget this act of kindness. It was a huge help. Of course I thanked him at the time but wished I had looked him up years later to let him know how much this meant to us! Rest in peace my friend.
