Leta Burns, 85, passed away October 3, 2018 at the Presbyterian Home.

 

She was born in Durhamville on June 6, 1933.  She was raised by her parents Blanche and James Loftus and attended Clinton Central School - Class of 1951.  Leta was married to William Burns on June 25, 1949 at St. Mary’s Church in Clinton.  She graduated from Utica School for Practical Nurses in 1960.  Lee was employed at Faxton Hospital for 34 years.  She enjoyed traveling across the United States and considered her camp in the Adirondacks her escape.  Lee especially adored her grandchildren and loved spending time with them.

 

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William and Debi of Boonville; granddaughter, Kaila Hoskins; grandson Cory Fletcher; and great-grandson Brody Hoskins.  She was predeceased by her husband Bill in 2015. 

 

All are invited to call from 2-4pm on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc., 35 College St., Clinton.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30am Monday, October 8, 2018 at St. Mary’s Church in Clinton.  Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
