Donald G. Lloyd, 84, passed away Sunday, August 19, 2018.

 

He was born June 30, 1934, in Utica, son of the late Clarence and Beatrice (Baldwin) Lloyd.  He graduated from Waterville Central School and attended MVCC.  In 1959, he was married to Joyce Nolan.  They shared almost 60 years of love and friendship.  Don retired from General Electric and was the caretaker at Deansboro Cemetery for many years.  He was a Past Chief at Barton Hose Co. and a member of the Deansboro Congregational United Church of Christ.  If something was broken, he was like MacGuyver and would find a way to fix it.

 

He is survived by his wife, Joyce; four children and their spouses, Sharon and David Knutti of Deansboro, Judy and Joe Giannatelli of New Hartford, Dave and Deanna Lloyd of Canastota and Diane and Dave Nowakowski of Sylvan Beach; nine grandchildren, Sandy and Chip Blau, Stacy and Shawn Thomas, Melissa and Elijah Brown, Michael Lloyd, Adam and Lindsay Giannatelli, Abby Giannatelli, Alex Giannatelli, Kaila Nowakowski and Kolby Nowakowski; four great-grandchildren, Sean, Isaac, Madilynn and Braelyn; a brother, Fay and Pam Lloyd of Clinton; two sisters, June Stolarczyk of Clinton and Marilyn and Louis Spina of Deansboro; and many nieces and nephews. 

 

A Memorial Service will be held at 11am Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Deansboro Congregational United Church of Christ.  Private burial will be held for the family.  Arrangements by Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc., Clinton.
