Obituary of Margaret Broedel

Meg P Broedel, 87, of New Hartford, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 5, 2011.
She was born on February 14, 1924, in Clinton and lovingly raised by "Mom" Martha Sims, was like a sister to Ellen Bingham, and aunt to Judy (Bingham) Logan, of West Winfield, and Gary Bingham of Adams.
She graduated from Clinton Central School in 1942. Meg was united in marriage to Robert G. Broedel on January 17, 1948, a blessed union of 63 years, until the passing of her beloved "Bob" on September 12, 2011. They are now together again.
Over the years Meg was employed by Commercial Travelers, Hayes Bank in Clinton, and was a medical receptionist at Slocum-Dickson Medical Group. She was proud of her affiliation with Hospice as a volunteer. Meg happily enjoyed spending time with friends and family, who were always a priority in her life. Meg attended St. James Episcopal Church in Clinton, where she was on Altar Guild. She was also a member of the Clinton Order of the Eastern Star for many years.
She is survived by her two sons, Brian of Poland and Scott of West Palm Beach, Fl; her daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Norman Wright of Brockport; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren, Kelly and Robert Foote of Holland Patent and their children, Caden, Carlee and Corinne, Mark Broedel, Heather and Ivan Sanchez, Tiffany and Alberto Riaboukha and their children, Jacynda, Alberto Jr., Arelis and Julian, all of West Palm Beach, FL and Rebecca and Laura Wright of Brockport. She was also survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Francis and Cathy Broedel of CA, Jacob and Dana Broedel of N. Brookfield, William and Joan Broedel of Marcy and James Broedel of Hamilton and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be celebrated at 3pm on Sunday, December 11, 2011 at St. James Episcopal Church, Clinton. Friends and family are invited to gather from 2-3pm prior to the service, in the parish hall at St. James Episcopal Church. Burial will be in Sunset Hill at a later date.
