Obituary of Theodore N Kruk
Theodore N. Kruk, 89, of University Drive, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018.
He was born in Taberg, NY on September 10, 1928, a son of the late Martin and Frances Kruk. After high school graduation, Ted served his country in the United States Army. He married Helen M. LaClair in 1955. They shared over 60 years of love and friendship. Ted retired in 1974 from the New York State Police after 24 years. He was a Zone Sergeant with Troop D in New Hartford. Ted was a member of the Church of the Annunciation in Clark Mills and the PBA.
He leaves behind his loving wife and best friend, Helen Kruk, whom he affectionately called “Dolly”; his daughter Valerie Cote of S. Glens Falls; his son and daughter-in-law, Theodore J and Kathleen Kruk of Clifton Park; six grandchildren, Joshua Cote (Rachael), Lindsey Barton (Nick), TJ, Kirsten, Alex, and Braden Kruk, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother and four sisters.
The family would like to say a special Thank You to Helen’s niece Barbara Cook who was selfless and wonderful during Ted’s hospitalization. Also, a special Thank You to the 4th floor nurses at St. Elizabeth’s hospital who were incredibly caring and supportive to Ted, they are true angels in disguise. The family also thanks Dr. Fred Talerico and his Nurse Practitioner, Pat for the wonderful care over the years.
All are invited to call Wednesday, May 30, 2018 from 5-7pm at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc., 35 College St., Clinton. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10am Thursday at Church of the Annunciation, Clark Mills. His burial will be in St. Joseph’s Mausoleum in Utica.
