Michael Pryputniewicz, 98, passed away at home with his family at his side on March 29, 2018.

He was born in New York Mills on September 29, 1919, a son of the late Maciej and Karolina (Nawrocki) Pryputniewicz.  He was a farmer from the day of his birth and the founder of Mike’s Paris Hill Potatoes, which his grandson continues to operate.   On October 26, 1940, he was united in marriage to Alfreda Dziekan.  The couple shared 77 years of love and friendship.  He was a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather. 

He is survived by his wife, Alfreda; two sons, Michael A. Pryputniewicz and Gary and Karen Pryputniewicz, all of Waterville; three daughters, Mary and Abel Maldonado of Waterville, Carol and David Honeyman of British Columbia, Canada and Jean and Robert Horth of Waterville; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; a sister Stephanie Gacek of CA; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend of the family, Adele (Frank) Novak.  He was predeceased by his daughter Joan; brothers, Joseph, Adam, Stanley and an infant brother Alexander; and a daughter-in-law Carolyn Pryputniewicz.

Private services will be held for the family with burial at Crown Hill Memorial Park.  Arrangements by Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc., Clinton.
