Obituary of Christina Rattray

Christina Rattray, 91, has gone to Heaven to be with her family on Monday, November 28, 2011 at the Sitrin Home. Christina was born in Turriff, Scotland on July 29, 1920. She served in the Women's Army (ATS) Scottish Army during WWII. In Scotland in 1945, she was married to John Rattray with whom she had two sons. They all came to America in 1957. Mr. Rattray died in 1983. Christina was employed at St. Elizabeth Medical Center for many years. She is survived by her two sons, John Rattray of Westmoreland and Allan and Barb Rattray of Clinton; six grandchildren, Heather and Chad Bloomquist, Jake and Becky Rattray, Doug Rattray, Jason and Bethany Rattray, Brooke Rattray and Brad White; eleven great-grandchildren; one great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews in Scotland. She was predeceased by her husband, brothers and sisters. Funeral Services will be held at 11am Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc, 35 College St., Clinton. Burial will be in Crown Hill Memorial Park. Friends and family are invited to call Wednesday from 10am until 11am prior to the service. The family thanks the nurses and aides of the Aspen House at Sitrin Home for the kindness, care and love they gave our mother in her four years as a resident and especially for the special attention in the past few days.
